| A lot of company use a standard OEM pressure plate and built it to there tolerance specs. So matching a clutch disc material to a clutch rating is what will make it survive. The launch is where they get killed. Once engaged it's fine, but it's that actual hard launch where the disc is clamped with such force that the material is tested to it's breaking point. So if he drives it fairly easy, he should be fine. When I had mine built. That's my clutch disc in the link.
